Student Loan Forgiveness Program Stays On!

Monday, president Biden said that the White House is "confident" that his order to "forgive" up to $10,000 in student debt, for those making less than $125,000 a year, will stand despite legal challenges.

“There are a lot of people affected, and we trust the law,” Biden said during an interview on the Ryan Cameron Uncensored radio show. “They have made a hard decision against us and the justification has not been skewed, which we believe is what the law requires, we are sure that we are correct and we believe that the court will probably come out well.”

The Supreme Court announced Thursday that it will put the show on hold and will hear oral arguments in the case in February 2023.

“What allows people to grow is to have a fresh start in life and it also helps the economy, so that when someone gets that debt removed, they can buy a house maybe, they can start a business, they can invest in their community or they can start doing things that will also grow the economy,” Biden said on the radio show.
